The Sangai or Manipur brow-antlered deer (scientific name: Rucervus eldii eldii) is the state animal of Manipur. It is found only in the Keibul Lamjao National Park, which is located in the Loktak Lake in Manipur. The Sangai is also considered as an endangered species and is under strict protection by the Manipur government.
